Food Service Attendant

Job Description:
Description Role Purpose: The Food Service Attendant is responsible for a variety of cleaning tasks, which include maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in all Food Service areas.
May include dishwashing, pot washing, general sanitation, cleaning and use of kitchen equipment.
May assist in the service and storage of food.
Responsibilities: Serve on tray assembly line in assigned position involving duties such as the following: start line, serving the food, and pour the soup and coffee.
Clean work area after tray line.
Store cups appropriately, fill racks of cups.
Strip carts and trays, dishes are sorted and rinsed, flatware is soaked using designated chemical with fresh soak water at each meal.
Make sure that pots and pans are cleaned appropriately and run through the dish machine in a timely manner, not allowing any to be left for the next meal.
Make sure that the temperature log for the dish machine is filled out daily and that irregularities are reported to the supervisor and Plant Operations.
Assist with the cleanup after special functions, wash and store flatware and dishes appropriately.
If catering carts are returned to department make sure they are stripped and dishes are cleaned and put away.
Follow proper sanitation and safety practices as outlined in Policy and Procedure Manual, OSHA Standards, and Health Department Regulations.
Cleaning schedule is followed and cleaning is done appropriately.
Patient tray carts are cleaned and sanitized.
All racks are to be wiped clean and sanitized.
The dish room is clean and orderly upon completion of dishes each meal.
Make sure that dirty late trays are picked up 6:30 am, and after lunch and after supper.
All dirty trays should be removed from the floors prior to the closing of department.
Dish room is kept organized.
All wet, clean dishes, pots and pans are stored appropriately to allow for drying.
No wet stacking of dishes, pots or pans.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
